This post took me, like, forever to write, because I couldn't just check out the songs again really quick, you know, listen to the first 30 seconds of one song and the first 20 sec of the next one. No, they were so many beautiful songs, that I had to listen the whole tracks of almost all the 15 songs. And then one more time to decide, which I want to particularly present you guys. Because this episode has quite a couple of songs, that are very different from the "normal" Skins soundtrack.
But honestly, I am kind of over Blair. That sounds weird, but what I mean is: In the past, I always loved Chuck and Blair, together, I wanted them to have their happy end. But lately, I just think that Chuck should get over her. Because EVERYTHING was about her, all the time, just her, whether she chooses Chuck or Louis, Chuck or Dan. And now she doesn't even want Chuck anymore ("I love you, but I am not in love with you."). So, fine, Chuck, forget about her and all her drama, and be the awesome, sacastic, selfconfident Chuck everyone misses.
And Blair? She can have Dan now, if she wants to. I really don't mind, as long as I don't have to see them. Because- did I already mention?- they ANNOY me!
Anyway, seeing the couple everyone seems to love recently after overcoming all the obstacles like S, Chuck, Louis, a royal marriage contract,... with problems like that, is going to be so much fun! It is mean, but I want them to be unhappy.
OMG, why can't next episode be a Mini's, too? I am sooo desperate to know what is going to happen. Mini is pregnant! Is it weird that I am always that happen when someone on TV gets pregnant? In contrast to Jal (remember? season 2?), she will be keeping it, I think.
But how is she going to tell Alo? And how will "farmboy" react?
A little Malo baby, I am so excited. They, Mini, Alo and the baby girl (in my imagination, it is a girl, don't ask me why), should become a little crazy, but happy family! Eventhough I know, that Skins doesn't give us happy endings too often, but that is what I am hoping.
Doesn't really have anything to do with the whole Mini and Alo thing, but I am so glad Rich is back, I missed him.
Elvis is an unlicensed mortician in his family's funeral home, a once splendid American Gothic in rural Texas. His sense of family obligation and love for his eccentric, infirm father keep him from following his dreams.
Anabelle is a small-town beauty queen being groomed for the big time by her pushy, show-biz mother. All her decisions are made for her - she just has to make sure she fits the part.
Their two lives are worlds apart, but those worlds collide when Anabelle, in a moment of triumph, collapses and dies on a beauty pageant catwalk - and ends up on Elvis's embalming table. As he is about to go to work on a dark and stormy night, Elvis magically revives Anabelle with an impulsive, innocent kiss. (It actually is a bit different, less "magically", more about medicin, but yet very sweet...)
News of the miraculous recovery sparks a media frenzy, but despite her mother's efforts to capitalize on all the attention, Anabelle finds that she's changed. Worn down by her mother and the media hype, and haunted by visions of her uncanny awakening, Anabelle is drawn back to the funeral home.
There, with the reluctant help of Elvis and the enthusiastic support of his father Charlie, Anabelle finds refuge and also begins to find herself. She and Elvis gradually start to connect, but her past is closing in - along with her mother, the police, and the relentless news hounds.
That sends Elvis and Anabelle on a mad dash to the Texas coast, where they discover a sense of freedom that neither of them had ever known, and where they soon discover their true feelings for one another.
But the world is close behind, and soon the young lovers are torn apart by tragic events that leave each of them alone to question their lives, their choices, and their love. In the end both Elvis and Anabelle must face their own demons before they are able to realize that for every tragedy there's a miracle waiting to happen.
It is just a magical movie, that slowly follows Elvis and Anabelle's love story and how they find to themselves.
The story is moving, and the phenomenally written characters and good actors, that are taking part, make it as beautiful as it is. Gossip Girl's Blake Lively is, well, ok, though I love her role. But the best are actually the men, I like Max Minghella (Elvis), and the one I LOVE is Joe Mantegna. He is most known for Criminal Minds, which has most of the times very flat stories, but in "E&A", he acts without putting himself in the foreground, very calm, not piteously. And his character, Elvis's father Charlie, who has slowly been losing his lucidity, is so sweet and, as mentioned, perfectly written.
What is great, too, is the soundtrack. My two favourite songs (and the most popular ones) are "Via Con Me" from Paolo Conte and "First Day Of My Life" by Bright Eyes, which is played in a really beautiful scene.
(Not knowing the movie, you should probably not watch these videos, if you don't want to be spoilered. But still, if you know the context, the scenes are a lot more intense)
So, if you haven't seen the movie so far, you really have to or you are missing so much. And if you already know it, go and see it on more time. Or two more times. That is what I am going to do...
First of all: Happy
Valentine's Day to all of you. Hope you have someone special to spend it with,
or atleast to dream about. Or you can do it like and just think about all the
cute couples on TV. Really, who needs real love? :P
At this
Valentine's Specials, I am going to talk about all the couples that I love or
that I would really, really love, if they would finally happen.
Jane By Design:
Normally, I have my favourite couples on every show, or sometimes even more than one opportunity for a character. But never as many as at Jane By Design, where it is really hard make a decision.
Right now, Jane is mainly interested into Nick and I think they are a really cute couple. But - cute is all. Yes, he is really, really good looking, nice, athletic, interested into her, so it is not bad choice, but other boys (men!) would bring so much more interesting storylines to show.
Another relationship, that quite a lot viewers are dying to see, is Jane and Billie. I LOVE Billie, but I am not sure if I want him to fall in love with her, because I always enjoy watching that non romantic relationship they have. It is so hard to go back to being just friends, when you started to have those kind of feelings once.
At the beginning of the show, it pretty much looked like Jane and Jeremy would be having something soon, but lately, there wasn't anything like that. They are friends now, not friends like with Billie, but friends.
Wouldn't it be so much fun to watch Jane hiding their affair at the company, hiding her age and teenage life from Jeremy and hiding Jeremy from her brother and everyone at school?
So, I think what I want to see is: Nick for one or two more episodes, Jeremy for the rest of the season and Nick at the very end of the season.

Skins:
My favourite couple is Mini and Alo. Because they are so different in many ways, but both really only looking for love. Last season, Mini was most of the time the person everyone hated, because she was honestly pretty bitchy to, uhm, everyone else. But I think she grew a lot since than. Do you remember when she was with Nick and extremely depending on him, so that she didn't even break up after getting to know he was doing her best friend. No one really understood her feelings, that is what I think. Mini totally deserves someone as kind, funny and honest as Alo. I hope that they don't screw it.
I love it how one episode can totally change your mind about a person or a relationship. I never thought about Nick and Franky before. Or I just forgot. But last episode really made me want them to be together. They are both not even close my favourite characters, but I can never resist a good love story, so maybe things are going to change...

Gossip Girl:
Blair and Chuck. "Of course I love you, Chuck, I have always loved you." Is there anything more to say? Damm all that Dair lovers (no offense, but Dan and Blair? Sorry, no.)
With Chair being my favourite at any times, is it weird to think Serena and Chuck should become a couple? Both of them have been through a lot lately, both of them now broken hearted. And they got really close lately. I think they deserve some happiness after all, and they could be very funny together. If we look back, they are really the only ones never having a thing going on the upper east side. It was Blair- Nate, Blair- Chuck, Blair- Dan, Serena-Dan, Serena-Nate, (if we leave out everything with Jenny or Vanessa...). So, why not Chuck and Serena? I would LOVE to see them together soon.
These are old photos, I know. You don't believe how hard it is to find the right pictures of a couple no one else likes. (Actually, I am not the only one, because on fanfiction.net, the biggest fanfiction site I know, there are 34 stories about them. http://www.fanfiction.net/book/Gossip_Girl/10/2/0/1/0/9211/9186/0/0/1/)

The Lying Game:
Now that Sutton and Ethan spent a couple of days at his father's and had some new special and bonding moments, including romantic kissing in front of the fireplace, it is undoubted that they are going back to what they had before Emma stepped into the scene. No, probably it is going to be even better, with much more feelings, much more truth.
To be honest, Sutton is kind of a manipulative bitch, and Ethan annoyed me quite a lot lately with that mix between a bad boy and a superhero (although he got me back a little bit with saying the one person he want to meet is Johnny Cash...). Despite all that, I want them to become a couple again. Not one like Emma and Ethan used to be (the "I love you more than everything, I want to run away with you" typ), but a more fun one.
And what is with Emma? Of course, it is going to be hard for her to handle the break-up, but I think there will be someone to comfort her: Thayer. They would definitly make a super sweet couple. Thayer already is falling for her ("What ever happens, I will be there for you." 1x17), Emma isn't realizing that so far, but when she is, she will hopefully discover her own feelings.
Laurel, finally ending things with that creepy Justin (hopefully for good), won't be alone for long. She and Baz share the same interests (MUSIC) and honestly, Baz so much handsomer. Why should someone like Laurel, beautiful, talented, kind, waste her time with someone like Justin.
Oh my god, now finally the big secret is out. Emma told Mads that she isn't Sutton. Will Mads except that explanation? Imagine: Your best friends is acting really weird and extremely cunning for some time, and when you are ending the friendship after all, she comes up with "Oh, that wasn't me, that was my twin sister who did this to you." (that is not a quotes, just a conclusion). Would you actually believe her? Honestly, I wouldn't. Ok, probably I would after some more explanations, because I always trust people saying the truth too easily. But Mads? I am afraid she is not going, maybe she will just run off without listening to what Emma has to say. And then, she might tell her father. And that would be horrible for the twins, I guess. So, Mads really isn't the best person to share the secret with. But nevertheless, I am glad she did. Things were getting more and more complicated with the whole switch - and switch back situation. By the way, another switch is going to happen, I think: Sutton is, obviously, falling for Ethan again (if she ever even stopped), and after spending so much time with her, Ethan will probably recover his feelings for her. Emma is still thinking about no one else but Ethan, but I think someone else might be thinking about her a little more lately: Thayer. Didn't you noticed that look of his, when he was watching Emma through the window? And there already was something like chemistry between them, I think. You remember when the played video games together? So, the twins changing their boyfriends (ok, Thayer isn't Sutton's, never really was, but the used to have a thing going...) won't happen all easily, will it? It will be drama, guys, not drama... Can't wait!

Maybe Pam isn't the person with the best taste in fashion on True Blood, but she definitly has the most surprising one. I love it when she walks in and you just think like "What the hell is that?" Sometimes, she almost looks like a hooker, and sometimes, she looks like a politican's wife. Must be so much fun to choose and make her outfits!
Look & Enjoy & Comment!
Pam's best/ most interesting/ most variating looks:
Last episode of abc family's Jane By Design had in general 3 main topics:
1. Jane trying to keep her secret
She managed that it didn't come out so far, but I am pretty sure that Jeremy
is going to find out soon, anyway. Now that Jane finally got together with Nick,
she won't be able to separte her work and her love life. I am curious how Jeremy
is going to react, remembering that he kind of offered her sex once...
2. Billy's new preppy look I liked the old Billy much more(unlike Harper, I think the alternative look was way hotter), but sometimes it is necessary to change, I get that. Harper: "Who do you think would win in a fight between this you and the other you?" Billy: "I'm pretty sure it would be a tie." Harper: "No, the other you. Eventhough this you is way hotter."
3. Weirdness This was quite important that episode, Am I weird? Does he think I'm weird? and so on.
Ben: Would it be weird if I ask you to have a drink with me after work? Rita: Yes. Ben: Good weird or bad weird? (Silence, for a bit) Rita: Good weird, i guess.
Ben: Question: do you think Edward and Bella are gonna make it? Jane: Are you reading Twilight? Ben: No. (Putting the book down)
Nick: For the record: I like weird.
Nick's line is in my opinion the only really weird one. "I like weird"? Ok, that sounds super creepy, don't you think? Though what he wanted to say with it, is kind of cute.
Yes, Drama, Drama, Blair has to face a marriage without love, Serena has to accept that Humphrey doesn't love her, Lola (the actual Charlie, my theory is that her mother just wanted a prettier daughter :P) is getting to know her family without knowing it, and Chuck... But despite (or just because) of all that, I want to focuse on the funny side of last night's episode.
So, here there are, the 6 best quotes from "The Back-Up Dan":
"Pretty desperate, Nathaniel, but the one looks worth it."- Chuck (commenting Nate helping Lola)
"This is Georgina Sparks, she is pretty much the worst person you will ever meet, so just avoid eye contact at all times." - Nate
"He is lying, he has gotten pretty good at it, too." - Georgina (talking about Dan)
"Everyone will instantly know, because she refuses to get botox. Her face is an emoticon" - Blair (about her Mom not being able to lie)
"Oh, oh, group shot!" - Georgina (taking the picture at the hotel)
"Thankfully Miss Georgina is a mother, she not leave me without snacks." - Dorota (being found locked in the wardrobe)
I really have to say, the writers did a pretty good job at this episode, though more with the dialogues than the story lines.
Blair's outfit: Never expected to see her like this, but I like it, she doesn't need to wear fancy clothes to proove her beauty. However, not the look we are going to see her in as the princess of Monaco, too sad.
I sometimes wonder about what would happen, if the persons from my favourite shows would meet eachother. And know it is actually going to happen!!! Ok, it is just the actor, not the character, but still, I am so excited.Ryan Kwanten, who is playing Jason Stackhouse on Trueblood, will have a guest appearance on New Girl. I am pretty sad that it is probably just for one episode. But anyway, the pictures look like a lot of fun and everything I found about the plot (which is in fact not very much) makes me wait impatiently for the 14th February (Valentine's Day, it is so soon, can't believe it), when it is going to be aired.
Plot:
Like I said, I didn't found much so far, all I have got is this:
"The True Blood stud is playing a guy that Jess tries to have a one-night stand with next week" (buzzsugar.com) And his name will be Oliver.
I am curious about his accent on New Girl, because he actually Australian, but has this amazing Southern Drawl on True Blood. So, how is going to speak this time?
Something else: Fuck Norris! Rich, Alo and O'Malley's new band. I love it. It is less metall than I expected it to be, but that is a good thing. Hope, they continue to play, despite everything that happend (and is going to happen).
Music: On the E4's website, there is this video from Kyle Lynd, the music supervisor of the show, who explains a bit about the music he used. It is pretty interesting, go check it out. http://www.e4.com/skins/series6/music/ep2.html
Quotes: Sometimes it is difficult to choose which line was the best, but this time, I found an undoubted winner:
So, the Royal Wedding finally took place. Blair and Louis are married now, who did honestly thought that would really happen. I didn't. The wedding itself, disregarding what happend, was not as glamorous as I expected it to be. Yes, of course, it was nice, pretty dresses, tiaras, flowers, some champagne, but nice? Epic is what is should be like. Did someone watch the real prince's wedding? Ok, one thing was similar: the white suit. And I already didn't like it last summer. Even the really better looking Louis (who is looking even better when he is not all that poshly dressed up, by the way) doesn't change that.
This episode was filled with a lot of good lines from different characters.
My favourites:
"Jesus owes me one." - Georgina Sparks (it isn't still Sparks, is it?)
Love that one, love her. When Georgina comes back, you always know it is going to be bad. But trying to ruin the wedding was actually a good thing. I like her husband, too. If she involves him into her machinations, what a perfect intriguer is her son Milo going to be? But Phil (her husband) should definitly know a little bit better:
"There is going to be a scandal?" - Phil (last name?)
It is Georgina, of course is there a scandal!
....
"The world is really a mess, when the most honest person we know is Chuck Bass" - Nate Archibald
Chuck - how can anyone possibly not want him to have a his happy ending, to be with Blair?
"It should be us out there and you know it" - Chuck Bass
....
Someone I loved and hated this episode was Elenor Waldorf, Blair's mum.
"Are you coming to stop this thing or what" - Elenor Waldorf
She was my hero at this moment. But after the church at the party, I didn't understand her anymore. Why was she happy? Could you be happy if you know that your daughter just married a man she doesn't love?
Music
Let's talk about music. Gossip Girl has often a really great soundtrack, and the 100th episode was no exception. The 2 songs that attracted my attention the most are:
Young Folks by The Kooks, which is actually a cover from the Swedish group Peter Bjorn and John.
Slow by Grouplove. It was just perfect at the moment it was played. The last persons were walking into the church, Serena and Dan, then Blair and her fathers. But all I waited for was what Chuck was going to do. And he really appeared at the door. And time really moved slow for me. It was the moment, where everything could have happend. (By the way, mobile phones in a church? Watching a video during a wedding ceremony? No good manners, guys...) One of these Gossip Girl moments, when you are just breathless and dying to know what will happen.
